All materials and where to buy
Basic materials
All projects need these basic materials. You can make almost anything with them.
Hard foam sheets
Also known as "Styrodur". The technical name is "Extruded polystyrene rigid foam panels (XPS)".
The most important material at FORM & PAINT. Ideal thicknesses are 1 mm to 6 mm. It can be cut, pressed and shaped as desired. Once pressed together, it will not bend back.
Available in model making and architectural supplies. Thick sheets from DIY stores are unsuitable.
Here is a list of which rigid foam sheets are very good and where to get them: Sales locations
